how to format memory card?

I recently bought a memory card from Aldi.. it was ina pack of 2 for %19.95 ( BARGAIN!!) anyways, i popped it in the memory card slot on my PC and i cant get into it. it keeps telling that its write protected, so i took it out and slid the little slidy thing over to unlocked…popped it back in again and it wont open, tells me i must format the drive before i can open it…so i clicked on format, then that tells me that the card is Write protected..what the? i want to put some photos on there, so i can put it in my digital Photo Frame….hmmph, i need help!

try to format the card on a different computer

if that doesn’t work try formatting it on a compatible device like through a digital camcorder, cell phone or maybe even through the Photo Frame itself if there is an option in there for formatting

if you receive the same error message on other devices, exchange the card for another because obviously the internal mechanism in the card is stuck on write-protected even though the switch on the outside is set to unlock
