Kodak Z740 zoom and close ups?
I have a Kodak EasyShare Z740 Digital camera. It works great most of the time, but I find that if I try to take a close up picture of a flower, everything seems to be blury. I have a try pod that I use as well. There probably is a way to correct this so I am open to suggestions. I have one answer bellow but I still get a blurry image.
Also I either want to buy a zoom lens or buy a better camera. Can you buy zoom lenses for this camera? I’d like to take pic’s of the mountains covered in snow which are 8 miles away.
Thanks for any help.
This is an old answer to someone else’s question…………. Best Answer – Chosen by Voters
First thing, check to see that you have set Macro mode on the camera before taking a closeup. (The icon usually looks like a little flower.)
Macro mode expands the focus range to allow very closeup framing. Without it you are too close for the lens to focus.
first off: no you cannot attach any additional lens to this camera.
second: i am a bit confused about what you are intending to do here.
assuming it is to take close ups of flowers, take the camera to MAXIMUM ZOOM. then stand at a distance where at that zoom you only have a close up of the flower (i am guessing a bit far away). this should give you a clear focus since you are standing outside the minimum focusing distance of the lens.
third: if you want magnified images of small objects like flowers, then i am afraid you have to buy a dslr with a macro lens. this camera won’t do.
fourth: if you are really into photography, its better to buy a better camera. zoom lens is out of the question anyways because of my first point.
