Free online picture editing HELP. What is ??? called?

Hey i was wondering does anyone know what its called when you look at a picture and it changes to another but its still the same frame its not a slideshow. For example your on a website i.e. myspace and some one has a picture in their pic’s but the picture is edited and animated so that it flashes a different pic like every second or so. What is that called and can i do it for free online with some kind of picture editing site. Please point me in the right direction thanks. I have 5 pictures that i want in one frame and i want them to change every second or so what ever time allows and i want to put it on my myspace pics how can i do this i have been searching forever!

the effect u want is called morphong and you can actually google for morphing softwares whch are freely available. But some softwares makes a video instead of a animated picture file which you cant upload as a picture in myspace. SO i would suggest you to search for a software which gives the output in GIF (it is the extension of the animated picture file) format.

By the way if you have adobe photoshop you can create those gif files using it ….. also gif animator allows you to do so. But those softwares call this effect ‘animation’ instead of morphong so dont get fooled.
