Question about a digital Photo Frame…?

I am thinking about buying a digital Photo Frame as a Christmas gift, but I don’t know much about them. I’ve been looking at them online, but I can’t find anything about how long they will run… Do they use batteries, or do they need to be recharged every so often? Any other information you can give me will be great!

Depends on the size. Key-chain-size run on batteries; anything larger requires a power adaptor.

You should Format the card in the camera first. Then using a Card reader, connect it to the computer. It should see it with no problems. Then transfer your digital images onto the card. Then transfer the MP# files onto the card. Check your owners manual for the photo frame, as some can use folders and some cant so see if you can have folders on your card to seperate the file type or if not just have them on the card. This should take care of it. If the card is not readable after you format it on the camera, then you shoulw do a QUICK Format on the computer. Then you can put the files on the card and then transfer them to the photoframe.

How can I store photos in a CF card so that they are played by my Digital Frame in the order I prefer? Thanks!

I do not understand how my photo Digital Frame selects the order of the photos to be displayed. It is not alphabetic, not the date. I would like the photos to appear in a given order of my choice, but when I add new photos the order is changed.
Any suggestions on how can obtain the photos to be played in the order of my choice, by following some rule in the way I store the Photos on the Compact Flash card which I use?.

Have you check the user manual of the digital Photo Frame?It sounded like it is being set to “random”. The one I have can display by the file name so all i have to do is to rename it to 01.jpg 02.jpg…etc. Anyways, check the setting and it should be somewhere in there.

What is the best Digital Frame for 90 year old grandma?

I want to get Grandma (90 years old) a Digital Picture Frame. It will only be used for photos—don’t need music, video, etc. Which one is the easiest—also can be turned off and on easily?

I love the idea of giving a Digital Frame for a gift and I think it’s such a thoughtful idea for your Grandmother. I bet she would love it and I bet you have the intentions of loading the camera full with picture of you and the rest of the family – which is so sweet!

This Sunpack digital frame is pretty basic and standard – http://www.digitalframehq.com/sf-035-22000us-digital-frame.html It doesn’t come with the music player and video capability, which you wanted to stay away from and it’s only $26.99. That site does have some other Digital Frames, but it appears most are a bit more expensive, as they have the music and video players built into the frames. You may find another frame that fits your likings and requirements on that site though, so check out the rest of their selection.
